Breath of God

soul-jpg

Formed from the dust of the earth…

God’s hands pick up the clay…

Carefully and thoughtfully

He designs and plans the display

Forming each tiny part…

Perfected in every way…

An earthen, lifeless, vessel just an empty shell

God sits back and stares, then smiles…

The body He’s created mirror’s His image well…

And bending in the dirt, excited, God inhales…

Life is breathed into the empty body, that’s lying on the ground…

Heaven and earth are silent; no one makes a sound…

Angels then proclaim that God and man are one…

Man stretches and yawns,

God watches His new son…

With each breath we take, the chest rises and falls…

Reminding us that without God’s breath, the body wouldn’t live at all…

God’s breath is living…it is life…it is light…it is our soul…

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
